Holly and I and the view overlooking Piazza del Popolo

I am amazed by the Lord's grace. Today I had the opportunity to share about Jesus with a freshman girl at La Sapienza. When Holly (Pictured above) and I approached her she did not speak any English, but we decided to pursue the conversation anyway. By the Lord's grace we were able to understand one another and begin to share the Gospel with her. She asked great questions such as, What is sin? We were able to share part of the Gospel with her before she needed to leave, but she agreed to meet with us on Thursday. I find it amazing that students would want to talk about spiritual things with a person from another country who only has a basic understanding of their language. Isn't God amazing! It is only because of Him that I was able to communicate with her...that she would understand...and most amazing of all, that she would want to continue talking with us. Please pray for Holly and I when we meet with her on Thursday!

On another note. The guys on my team have found an apartment and are moving in tomorrow. Woohoo. Now they have to rent a truck and move in. Whoever ends up driving the truck IN ROME is a brave, brave soul. Lauren will be looking at an apartment tomorrow for the girls. We hope this might be the one for us!

Also Congratulations to my cousin Tricia who just had her first Baby...Hayden James Reynolds. Isn't he adorable!

Well I guess it has been over a month since I updated this!

Well I have been in Rome for 4 weeks now! It is so crazy to think that I am back in Rome for another year! How privileged am I to live in Italy for two years and to be able to talk with students about having a relationship with Jesus. That is pretty amazing.

This month has been jam packed full with catching up with students, meeting new students, getting to know a new team, language school, and figuring out life here again. We are currently in the process of trying to find a new apartment. The Smiths have recently moved here to Rome as international campus staff. Jason Smith has been doing most of the leg work for us in looking for a new apartment. We almost had one, but it fell through unfortunately. We are currently in the process of getting another apartment and we are hoping for it to go through.

Top 5 things I have enjoyed about being back

1. Talking with gli Italiani about Jesus/ Getting to know my team
2. AMAZING parmesan cheese
3. San Eustacio's Cappucino
4. Gelato.....strawberry, limone, coffee, chocolate (dark), caramel....
5. Zucchini pizza from Da Bafettos and Buffalo Margarita Pizza from La Arte

....what can I say, I like food!

On a more personal note. Here is a thought I have been pondering a lot lately...

"God creates out of nothing. Therefore until a man is nothing, God can make nothing out of him." ~Martin Luther

... I am still pondering this.

Well I am home from briefing for another 2 1/2 weeks. It was so much fun to see familiar faces as well as meet some of the new ones. I am so excited about being apart of a new team, but I do still find myself greiving the loss of my old team at times as well.

Well I am heading off to briefing today for my second year of STINT. I am both a little nervous and a little excited. It will be good to meet my new teammates as well as see some dear friends. Right now I am waiting to board my plane for the second time from Columbus to Chicago. The first flight I was on the plane was malfunctioning so they cancelled the flight. Ciao Ciao for now...
